Nella sessione mattutina, il convegno metterà a confronto il modello d´accreditamento dei servizi residenziali per anziani non autosufficienti della Regione Piemonte con altri modelli vigenti in Lombardia, Liguria e Toscana.
Nella sessione pomeridiana sarà illustrata l´esperienza torinese di assistenza e cura della persona anziana nei servizi residenziali. Subito a seguire, si darà luogo a uno scambio di conoscenze maturate sul campo per opera di operatori del settore provenienti da regioni diverse.

WUWHS 4-8 Giugno 2008

It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to the Third Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) being held in Toronto, June 4 ” 8, 2008.

The title of the program “One Problem ” One Voice” reflects the primary theme of the entire congress and speaks to the very nature of the WUWHS. Every four years the WUWHS brings the world together—different disciplines, different cultures and nationalities, working toward a universal solution to improve patient outcomes.

Wound care professionals from around the world will attend this congress, appraise information on the latest developments in wound care, network with and meet colleagues, and share their experiences. This congress is the most important wound-care meeting in 2008 and should be attended by health care professionals from all disciplines who have an interest in wound care.

The World Union of Wound Healing Societies is a consortium of associations with a single mission: to enhance the lives of persons with wounds worldwide. The WUWHS executive includes opinion leaders in wound care from Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Denmark, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Our objective for the congress is to provide evidence-informed information that will facilitate best practice and allow all participants to provide optimal patient care.

The host city is Toronto, Canada, one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Toronto is a popular tourist destination for travellers from around the world. It is a safe, clean city with many interesting attractions.

We will also be offering the world’s largest wound care exhibition. This is your opportunity to see what’s new in products, services and technology.

We are thrilled with all aspects of the program; the faculty, the topics, the format and the venue are second-to-none. The program is a collaborative effort of our partners from all over the world. This will truly be an international event.

We would like to acknowledge our hosting societies for their contribution to the WUWHS 2008 Congress: The Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC), The Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapy (CAET), The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO), The American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA), The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) and The European Tissue Repair Society (ETRS).

There are many ways to be part of this program: submit an abstract, be part of our consensus panels or attend and network with colleagues from around the world. We’re excited about WUWHS 2008 and look forward to sharing it all with you.

Mark your calendar now. This is an event that should not be missed. The world is coming to Toronto in 2008. Plan to be there.
